Small change to ASP.NET web forms application - oDesk

I have a simple ASP.NET 2.0 WebForms application, which uses a SQL Server database. Users can register, login, post two types of advertisements, and send PMs to other advertisers. This PM system is being abused by spammers. I would like you to constrain each registered user to send a maximum of 2 PMs each calendar day, e.g. by counting the number of previously sent messages iin the database.
